Melaine Privitera’s leadership drives Mobius’s corporate culture of excellence, commitment, and passion. She provides oversight and executive management of strategy, finance, workforce management, business development, and general administration. Under Melaine's leadership, Mobius was named one of the top 10 fastest growing woman-owned companies in the DC Metro area and debuted on the Inc. 5000 list at #595. Mobius also received a "50 on Fire" award by InTheCapital Magazine and was recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine as a "Top 30 Start Up.". She is also a 2013 Brava! Award Winner (SmartCEO) and was named one of Washington D.C.'s "14 Young Entrepreneurs to Watch" (Under 30 CEO). Mobius was also included in the prestigious Empact100 Showcase, a Top 100 award winner, and recognized at the United Nations. Melaine was recently honored to present a speech inside the UN ECOSOC in acceptance of the "Best Small Business Founder's Story" award.
Prior to founding Mobius, Melaine was a management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton and Dynamics Research Corporation. She has nearly fifteen years of federal government management consulting experience with an impressive portfolio of clients, including the Department of Defense, the Missile Defense Agency, the US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, Department of Homeland Security headquarters and components, and other government agencies. Melaine has led complex, multi-phase strategic and technology initiatives in many unique and challenging environments.
Melaine has a passion for pro bono consulting, and has provided strategic guidance and technical analysis to several non-profit organizations, for which she received the Outstanding Service Award from the COMPASS Organization and the Greater DC Cares Service Award.
Melaine graduated from The George Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute and a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
