Washington, DC, April 12, 2018 - Mobius and its' mentor company, Parsons, has been awarded the prestigious 2017 Nunn-Perry Award by the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of Small Business Programs. The Mobius-Parsons team is one of eight winners across the DoD. The team has been invited to receive the Nunn-Perry award at a formal ceremony at the annual Mentor-Protege conference, scheduled later this summer.
The prestigious Nunn-Perry Award, named in honor of former Senator Sam Nunn and former Secretary of Defense William Perry, recognizes outstanding Mentor-Protégé teams formed under the auspices of the DoD Mentor-Protégé program. This highly coveted award is presented each year to select DoD Mentor-Protégé teams, from across the entire Department, that have demonstrated exceptional progress in improving the technical capabilities, cost effectiveness, and increased business opportunities for small businesses to expand their footprint in the defense industrial base.
The Mobius-Parsons Mentor-Protege relationship has enabled Mobius to develop proprietary modeling and simulation tools to aid in ground-breaking analysis of advanced technologies, create new cyber security capabilities now actively deployed to various customers, achieve ISO 9001:2015 certification of their headquarter's quality management system, and helped position the company for their first prime contract, awarded in 2016. The investments made by the Mobius-Parsons mentor-protege agreement helped support the company as it scaled nearly 100% growth over the course of the relationship.
Mobius is an award-winning, HUBZone certified, woman-owned small business supporting defense and intelligence customers facing issues of national and global significance. Mobius has special expertise in ballistic missile defense, space systems, reverse engineering, modeling and simulation and advanced technology development and deployment.
