August 17, 2018 - The Mobius/Parsons team was honored to accept the Nunn-Perry Award on August 16th in Orlando, Florida at the annual Beyond Phase II/Mentor Protege DoD Small Business Conference. In her remarks, Mobius CEO Melaine Privitera thanked the many people who contributed to this successful partnership and its resulting impact. In part, she noted, "I'm most proud of our shared achievement in creating a modeling and simulation tool that directly supports MDA decision makers and the warfighter. This analytical capability is supporting the definition of the agency's space sensor strategy. A strategy made in the face of unprecedented challenges and signals from an ever more vocal threat. It's because of the Mentor-Protege program that Mobius is able to support space-based solutions with advanced technologies that will help our country dominate the battle space as we move forward into the future."
Citing the Mobius/Parsons Mentor-Protege Agreement as, "a game-changing catalyst" Melaine expressed her thanks to Parsons Government Services for being "an exemplary Mentor." When addressing her Mobius colleagues, she thanked them for their hard work in earning this great honor and expressed her gratitude for, "being a mere conduit for your many achievements."
The prestigious Nunn-Perry Award, named in honor of former Senator Sam Nunn and former Secretary of Defense William Perry, recognizes outstanding Mentor-Protégé teams formed under the auspices of the DoD Mentor-Protégé program. This highly coveted award is presented each year to select DoD Mentor-Protégé teams from across the Department that demonstrate exceptional progress in improving technical capabilities, cost effectiveness, and business opportunities for small businesses to expand their footprint in the defense industrial base.
